The QuickLink 232A

The Needham's Electronics QuickLink 232A, gives your wireless solution with the SureLink 915A-FM the ability to connect directly to any RS-232 port to either transmit or receive data. Even without a PC to connect to, the QuickLink 232A can be used to insure data is transmitting between two points. Powered by 4.2 to 11.0 DC volts (like a nine volt battery) and only 1.54W x 2.28L x 0.75H inches (39W x 58L x 19H millimeters) in size the QuickLink 232A can used almost anywhere.

The QuickLink 232A has the capability to swap both the RX/TX lines and the Flowcontrols going to and from the RS-232 port using the J1 jumpers. Using J6 you have the ability to set the mode, speed, baud rate, channel, and Point A/Point B. With LEDs to show RX and TX of the RS232 data, flowcontrol, power and link status a quick glance will give you the status of the transceiver.
