This is the decorating book I usually reach for when I need a quick dose of inspiration! Decoupage New Decoupage : Transforming Your Home With Paper, Glue, and Scissors by Durwin Rice Too fabulous! Beautiful, elegant projects, presented in a delightful writing style. Hey, any author who tells you how to decoupage your REFRIGERATOR is tops in my book! This book provides simple instructions for making those exquisite broken-plate (pique assiette) mosaic pieces we've all admired. Wait 'til you see what she did to her mailbox! Decorative Painting Recipes for Surfaces Volume 1 & Volume 2 These books will get you through 90% of the decorative painting projects you are likely to undertake. The instructions are clear, easy to follow, and don't assume that you are an idiot. The sections on tools are particularly good. I recommend both books, although if I had to choose one I would say that most people will probably get more use from Volume 2.
